Halloween

Wow, what a fun day we had at Leon Sheffield on Halloween.  Not only did the students get to wear their pajamas to school, but they got to participate in many fun Halloween festivities.

Parent volunteers helped students measure and weigh their pumpkin to make a graph.  Students then completed a series of questions to help them find more interesting facts about their pumpkin.

Students also did the Monster Mash with Dr. Poovey in the Adventure Lab.

They all were having a great time!

The specialists, led by Coach Albert and Mrs. Byrd, created a Haunted House maze in the Little Theatre.  The students had to listen to a witch tell a ghost story, go through the river to the cemetery where they were greeted by a zombie, crawl through the abandoned coal mine, walk past the display of former teachers, get their fortune told, and visit the mad scientist.  There were also a few "scary" surprises along the way.

Mrs. Jones played the zombie bride.

Former teacher "mummies."

Coach Albert blew students with a leaf blower.

The graveyard lit up.

All of the students and faculty that participated in the Haunted House.

THANK YOU to all the parents who volunteered their time to make Halloween extra special!
