Boot Day

Mrs. Borden's class went to violin lessons this morning.

Here are students from her class learning the "rest" position.

Today we also celebrated Boot Day to "Boot Out Drugs."

We saw students wearing cowboy boots, rain boots, and fur boots!  Don't forget to wear a tie tomorrow!

Mr. Brown was our Watch Dog Dad for the day.  Here he is reading with Tristan.

Mr. Holmes' fourth grade class had a pizza party this afternoon to celebrate getting a perfect score on their multiplication tests.

Great job guys!  Keep up the good work!

Until next time,
LSMS

Silly Sock Day

Today at Leon Sheffield, we are saying, "Sock it to Drugs."

Students around the school are wearing crazy socks.

Mrs. Glover and Mrs. Hill are showing off their crazy socks.

Mrs. Boyd's class went to the science lab this afternoon to dissect owl pellets.

Mrs. Watkins' class constructed a giant.  These students are measuring how tall he is.  They also will be constructing a new ending to the classic, "Jack and the Beanstalk" story.

We love seeing our WatchDog dads in action!  Here is Mr. Gregory helping a student.

Some students had a BIG surprise when they came into the lunchroom today:  the firefighters came to eat with them!

It is hard to tell who is having more fun!

Here is Mr. Craig Corum eating with Mrs. Gibson's class.

Thank you to the Decatur Fire and Rescue squad for coming to eat with the students today!

Don't forget that tomorrow is boot day!

Until next time,
