National Elementary Honor Society

On February 10th, Leon Sheffield hosted a historic event.  Under the leadership of Mrs. Brewer, students were inducted into the first ever National Elementary Honor Society.

Students listed to speakers, read a pledge, then signed their name in a book that is on display at our school.  We are blessed at Leon Sheffield to have such great students who are striving to be leaders for life.

Dr. Seuss/Book Character Day

In honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday, we dressed like our favorite book characters!  Here are just a few of the  characters we saw:

Jacob dressed like a Star Wars character.

We had several Harry Potters.

These sweet boys dressed like characters from Old Yeller.

Our awesome faculty and staff dressed up like Cat in the Hats!
What a fun day!

Twin Day

A few weeks ago, we saw double at Leon Sheffield!  That's because we dressed up like someone for twin day!  Check out just a few of the twins (and triplets) we saw around school!

Even our sweet pre-k students participated!

Several of our students had the opportunity to interview former students of Lakeside High School, which is now LSMS.  Check out the interview below:
